Is it just a bloke thing or is it a lot more acceptable for women these days? Sorry if I'm stepping over old ground here...
The ironic thing about porn is that the "female" version is called...The Romance Novel. My mom is a romance novel fan, and so I get (read as "borrow") her hand-me-down romance novels that she liked the most. I would never purchase one myself...too humiliating to be seen buying such bad literature!

In case you haven't read a romance novel recently, they can get pretttttyyy detailed when it comes to sex. If you wade through the drama pages (generally describing balls and British nobility and silly intrigue), you can get to the steamy parts! Huh...I wonder if British romance novels are filled with American men?

I agree with those who said that people may feel uncomfortable with raw sexuality because it is so opposite from everything else we do and value in life, such as being in emotional and physical control. It is hard to let that go.

Also, I think women especially are still brought up not to feel comfortable with sex and their own bodies. That was *my* upbringing. I looked at sexuality with derision: it was low-brow and bestial. I still remember when I was 12, some grandmother told me her grandson thought I was cute, and I replied stiffly: "I'm above that sort of thing." Ha ha! So I can understand women growing up feeling uncomfortable about porn.

Wait, *I* was talking earlier about both underarm hair and leg hair. Are you saying that the women in the German porn movies from the 70s and 80s had shaved legs? If they had shaved legs but not underarms, I don't think boo boo will like that. He likes consistency.
