I can't make it any clearer. It's not apples and oranges. It's all art. Maybe you're viewing films through technology and science. Now that's apples and oranges. Because technology and science are evolving and are better in time, and art is evolving not to be better, but different.

My point is, artistic merit is not dependent on technological advances.
