And I do think Op Ivy are pretty good, just because they might have influenced some bad stuff doesn't mean they're bad.

Oh, I know that saying that Op Ivy was an influence on some terrible music isn't the same as saying they were bad.That would be a hard argument to make, but there was so much 2nd wave ska, 3rd wave ska, and punk and hardcore that I think was a greater influence. Op Ivy showed that the two styles could be blended. I think most tried to stay as far away from their sound as possible. The Clash was pretty influential toward ska punk too, as well as The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Murphy's Law.
