I love Ringo too. But Hal Blaine is a master-capable of a wide range of styles. Ringo is great, and the perfect drummer for the Beatles, but even John Lennon himself was quoted as saying "best drummer in the world? Ringo wasn't even the best drummer in the Beatles"(or words to that effect). Though I think he was trying to court controversy and not being completely honest.
