Joking aside, I think Canada really has more in common with the US than with Britain: Similar accent, similar architecture, similar geography, similarly spread out infrastructure, similar sports, similar food, similar ethnic mix, similar fashion, similar history, similar music, more closely-related entertainment industries, etc., etc.
