Post "Playboy"

Neon lit up the dark
Heard a rock'n guitar
Flip flop'd across Broadway
Slip'd in Tootsies bar
Hope'n to see a star
Saw this ole boy take the stage
Say y'all call me Country
As he started to play

Country rakes his guitar strings
Steps up to the mike
Closes both of his eyes
When that ole boy begins to sing
The honky tonk crowd
In Tootsies Orchid Lounge
Know they're watch'n
The real McCoy
Can't fake the real stuff
Say crank Country up

Ole boy's long in his tooth
Sad song oozes the truth
Makes you feel his heart break
Sings a love done me wrong tune
Melody bad to the bone
Lyrics reek'n with pain
When his sad song was sung
Said Country play it again

Might not be a big star
Have a song climb'n the charts
But tonight here at Tootsies
Country's rock'n the bar
