Default Chase and Status - Brand New Machine (2013)

I was very disappointed with the latest Chase & Status album. After More Thank Alot, and No More Idols, I was expected a third album similar to these. With the first two singles; Lost & Not Found and Count On Me there was a distinctive classic Chase & Status drum & bass feel to the songs. I was hoping the album would be full of songs like these. However I soon found out otherwise.

Most of the songs are boring and nothing really happens like you expect it would with a Chase and Status song. The vocals are mostly drab and dull. Aside from three songs, I found the whole album boring. I would recommend downloading Lost & Not Found, Count On Me, and Alive individually because these songs ae great rides of a drum & bass experience.

I think the reason this album is different and not so good, is because Chase and Status took a gamble to change the music and try something different. I do respect them for this, but please, get the original style back for the next album.

Rating: 3.5/10

How disappointing. I was pretty excited to see they had a new album out when I got my hands on it. I will still listen to form my own opinions on it but I'm definitely expecting the suckiness that I'm in for.

Just but lost and not found count on me and alive. They are the only songs worth getting.

I finally got around to listening to this album and I actually enjoyed it. It is definitely not an album for people that wanted pure drum & bass and if you aren't a fan of rap. You will hate it as well.

I loved the heavy mixture of hip hop.
