What happened? (emails from MB)
 

Today when I checked my email I had like 100 messages from MusicBanter, all saying so and so have replied to my thread. It's like it decided to send out all these messages at once, as some of those should've been old. I even got a "Welcome to Music Banter" message...

EDIT: Just checked spam folder and found 73 more messages...

Yeah, it's happening to some of the mods too. I woke up to 20 e-mails and I'm receiving a few more every 5 mins. :laughing:

There seems to be a glitch at the moment.
Admin have been informed and hopefully we'll get it sorted soon.

I looked in my profile and somehow I got subscribed to all those threads.

Anybody know how to block an email in Gmail so I won't get these messages?

Holy crap, I just checked my email and I have 2373 messages in my junkmail folder, almost all of them from MusicBanter.

It's futile trying to unsubscribe to threads because it doesn't make any difference for some reason.
Neither does deleting them, or choosing 'Do not subscribe' in the Default Thread Subscription Mode section of your User CP.

I added the MB email address to my contacts then blocked Music Banter from my yahoo email account and so far it seems to have done the trick.
I suggest you try that and we'll announce when the problem has been fixed so you can unblock MB at a later date.

Yeah I figured out how to block those messages with Gmail. Just go to Settings then Filters.

I got 7,900 and they are not all downloaded yet. I will watch a film in the next hour and open them back up then.
