Default Good-bye.

Without being too misanthropic or curmudgeonly, I regret to announce that I will no longer use this forum.

There's plenty of knowledgeable people here worth every stone and I've had a lot of fun being a general asshole these last two years. I don't look back on my time spent here with regret, rather it'll be one of those things I come to see with nostalgia in years to come. However, over the last few weeks I've been noticing that I seldom see eye to eye with anyone here. The few people that I count as good friends have seemingly vanished off this forum, and as time drags on I see little reason to return, despite the wealth of knowledge that gets passed down here.

I have no reason to harbor ill will to anybody here (and that includes you, jackhammer) and it's somewhat sad that I'm drawing this chapter of my life closed. I sincerely apologize to anyone I might have offended while I was here, I know I speak more bluntly than most, but that's only because I never saw much incentive in beating around the bush. I simply do not see much reason in returning to this forum when I find it this abrasive on my psyche.

So with that said, I bid you all a fond farewell.

Oh, and if I ever come in contact with any of the girls here, I will buy you a drink in a heartbeat. You are all way too beautiful to be spending your free time here. Same goes for the guys (just the drink ), especially Pete, Tyler, Richard, Dave, David, (both) Lees, sidewinder, duga, Freebase, Alex, Ethan, and probably a dozen more that I'm forgetting because my head is still a bit fuzzy.

Oh and mods make sure Yac sees this, the resignation is obviously across the board.

Crap. He was one of the mods that I actually agreed with most of the time.

In the past year I have also resigned as a moderator and left a website due to "internal" issues. I can completely understand the need to close the chapter and move on with one's life instead of continuing with the current state of things. At some point in time, everyone's time on any message board (and other non-internet things too) runs its course and it's then when one must say good-bye, despite the nostalgic memories of a better time. With that said, I may not have known you at all but I do however wish you only positive thoughts and hope you find something of more recreational value!

Lucifer_sam,

You will be missed, man. We haven't always agreed on everything (who does?)... but I'd like to think we were pals sometimes I've always admired your posts and your taste in music has fascinated me. This forum will be losing one of it's finest members. I am saddened by your leaving, but respect your decision and won't second guess it. Just know that you were a great poster here, and you've shaped this forum in a positive way. Your bluntness was wonderfully offensive, and there is no resentment at all towards your style. You've made some great threads here, and you've had some great moments in all kinds of debates. Wherever you end up, I wish you luck there.

Sincerely,

Conan

This is sad news for the forum indeed. There are a handful of people whose opinions I will always take seriously, and you were definitely one of those guys. And you have quite an excellent taste in music.

I'd have a drink or two with you as well. Take care, from the sound of it you don't want to be coming back here at all...but I hope you will drop in occasionally.

I've enjoyed your posts and your brutal honesty is refreshing. I like your taste in music too (it's been good having a fellow Polvo/ISIS/post-punk fan around). I'm sorry to see you go and I hope you'll drop around occasionally. Have fun in engineeringland.

I love your taste in music, your wit, and your unpredictable nature, Sam. It's a shame to see you go. You've been one of the most interesting people I've had the pleasure of crossing paths with on this forum.

Live long and prosper!
