Default Why is the Country forum closed?

OK, I'm a newbie here so If I'm asking an obvious question, please excuse me. But why is the Country forum closed? I can see you had some troll problems. I guess this forum, like all others, has it's fair share of d**kheads, but why not just delete the WUMs instead of shutting everything down?

And why, having archived it, does it say that I can reply to some of the posts and not others? I'm not sure what I can reply to and I dont want to get deleted when I only just got here.

It didn't attract enough attention to be a stand alone board.

I think it happened when they decided to merge the sub forum with world and folk. They got rid of some of the older troll type threads also. but you can post just fine in this sub-forum the Country, World and Folk one.

If you want to talk about country, this is the forum to do it in. Like James said, the original forum really didn't have a lot of discussion happening, and so it was merged with the Folk and World forums.

We DO have an active country forum. It's right here.

Yes, I can see that country music can be discussed in this forum. That wasn't the question. My fault for not being clear enough.

In the closed country forum there are some threads that say I cannot post comment. Also, there are some threads that say I can post comment.

If one should choose to post comment in the latter, would I be in trouble with the mods?

I'd like to add that this looks like an excellent music forum and as time permits I look forward to exploring all sections, not just the country ones.

I was under the impression that you can't post in any threads in there. Could you give me an example of one that you can post in?

The reason you can post in those is because they've been moved to the new country forum.
