Alright?

This is a ****ing music site not gossip central, and Dirty is NOT Nelson Mendela.

Much my opinion, and this is why I quoted urbans post in the first place. Its also why I've been talking about dicks and ponies for the last few posts.

People are always expected to act in a non offensive uptight no sense of humor or fun kind of way. If its not to the standard and class that most of society deems acceptable then its foul and repulsive and never funny. Most the time its probally because of just a couple of people who actually took offense and complain or are in a position to enforce ther're authority. More than likely using the comadery amongst other fellow authority figures to reinforce and justify the reasoning behind their motives.( I notice this takes place in sports a lot and almost to the point that your watching people behave like robots rather than actual human beings with their own personality.) Instead whenever they behave outside the norm of what the league considers the norm they get handed suspensions and fines etc etc. Its no different here or anywhere else for that matter and as the world progresses more the less things and other types of behavior are acceptable. You cant fart now days without some whiny lil bitch getting offended and its not going to change or go away. Your only allowed to find what others consider funny and not allowed to develop you own thoughts or opinion in many different areas of life. People for the most part cant handle blatent honesty or people who possess any kind of sense of humor other than the one that they are told to have.

Yeah, that's it. We want everyone to behave like robots.

Finally, someone understands.

  • The new rule regarding impersonating staff or members in chat is entirely reasonable. There are a number of negative results of staff or users being posed as, and seeing as it's now become an actual problem, it needs to be dealt with.
  • Moderators have inconsistencies because we all have differing opinions and calls of judgment. It's simply not possible to get the consensus of every moderator before we make the smallest decision. That said, any large decision does receive a MAJORITY consensus by the staff.
  • The applications of the two new site rules as well as the banning of Dirty was a majority consensus amongst the moderators.
  • You are all well aware of the rules and the personalities of the people you share this forum with; I fail to understand how you could be shocked by this particular banning.
  • As for the IRC chat, it's been discussed and decided that if we are going to provide and promote this through the site, then it must be regulated, because apparently the people who use it behave like children in Lord of the Flies when they're not carefully watched by adults, and can't possibly restrain themselves from violating every simple act of human decency. The reality is that what is said in the chat fosters problems ON SITE, and your fellow users can't be trusted to use such a tool respectfully.

Guys, the mods are just trying to cover up what really happened here, in an attempt to shelter me from public outrage so soon after my completely inappropriate outburst of opinion in the Spill Your Guts thread. Out of respect for my fellow moderators, I must tell the truth about what happened to dirty and take on full responsibility.

But I forgot what happened, because I was drunk.
I'm pretty sure it was bad though. So I've decided to step down from drinking alcohol, until later tonight. If something happens tonight, to a certain oojay and a certain Virgin, I apologize in advance, and take full credit.

I completely agree with you. You have to understand, each mod has a different idea of what is appropriate to tell and what isn't. A certain level of discretion is preferred just because it might actually be embarrassing to the person who was banned. I'm not saying this is the case with Dirty, but we want to at least try to be consistent. Obviously, that is harder than it sounds.

I can definitely understand that, and thank you for this explanation and for being so polite.
