If you made a thread and it's gone now, that means you either made a thread on a topic that exists already (in that case it would have been merged with the existing thread), you asked for a recommendation (that would also be merged with the appropriate recommendation thread), you used an excessive amount of bad language (in this case it would just be deleted), OR you spammed the forum with a link to a personal site (which would have resulted in a permanent ban).

I have a vague remembrance of your calling people names, using insulting language and basically being confrontational just for (it seemed) the sake of it. Behaviour like that is not tolerated here, nor should it be.

If you feel you're "hated" and don't want to be/think you should be, do something about it! Start a new thread and be respectful of ALL opinions, even/especially if they clash with yours. You can argue with someone without being nasty: argument and debate is, after all, what this forum (and most others) is about. Or join a thread that exists and contribute positively.

Might I point you in the direction of the Lounge, where things are a little more laidback and issues discussed not so weighty?

I was looking at the "Fake arguments" thread, where I expect namecalling et al is quite acceptable. I have to admit I'm not actually familiar with the thread that got deleted, so apologies if I jumped to the wrong conclusion here.
