It was because we already have recommendation threads in every section. We like you to ask your questions in those threads instead of making a new one.

Also, I'm not sure why you made your original post in the classical section when you weren't really looking for classical music. I think the General Music forum would have been a better place.

Just curious what constitutes a thread being closed on this site. I did just join at the suggestion of some friends, posted about Ric Ocasek rejoining The Cars and the thread is closed. Not complaining at all, just has never happened on other forums so was curious. I'm the poster child of "Team Player", so that's why I'm baffled. Thanks.

Duplicate threads, mostly.

When I searched for the Cars, a couple of different little threads came up but no general one, so I decided to make one just to try and keep everything in one place. You can talk about them here - http://www.musicbanter.com/rock-metal/56435-cars.html, including all old and new stuff about them!

most of my actual "chit-chats" are at night

I think I ought to subsribe to some threads. I keep clicking on the link that says "Find more posts by Mighty Salami" and seeing if anyone has replied to my posts.
