5. not sure if you're familiar with this but it would be fun if we can apply reps 'reputation' functionality in this forum. members can give green reps for a post that's totally awesome and red reps for posts that are stupid and that rep will show on a member's status if he had too much green or too much red. this will enable the member to reflect if he's already being hated or loved by other members. it boosts morale and confidence and brings back the senses of those trolls getting too much red.

No, this is wrong. Simply by writing anything (as long as he didn't steal it himself) The Virgin has copyright to whatever he writes and posts. He posted it on a public forum so anybody can quote it and then they have copyright of their own post (including the quote as part of the writing as long as it clearly cites someone else's writing).

What you can't do legally is take The Virgin's post and claim it as your own writing like some asshole did with one of my threads right here.

I think you're thinking of patent law which says that you can invent an object or system and make it public and retain your ownership right to it by having the words "patent pending" included in every iteration of what you made.

They stole my OP - I can't even navigate the site enough to see if they used any of my reviews. They probably just wanted to increase their SEO whoever they are.

Interesting in theory, though I see it difficult to accomplish in practice.

Another interesting suggestion, but I envision it becoming troublesome. I neither approve nor reject this idea.

We do have weekly featured genres, which I think better suits the community, as it's less restrictive and better suits the broad range of tastes that our users possess.

I would hate to see something so frivolous used to bully or inflate other users. I think it would produce unnecessary drama.
