I think people always worry that they'll be tempted back, so it's kind of like breaking an addiction for some people. It may also be seen as a statement of intention, both to herself and us: I'm gone guys, I mean it this time. I won't be back.

Of course, she can always request the permaban be lifted, and let's hope at some point she does. She will be missed.
