I still miss MissPopTart. She was a charming, fun poster with one of the cutest user-names ever.

About a year ago she stopped posting without announcing the fact, which always leaves behind "the floating question, Why?" In her case the question is more prickly than usual because she lived in Istanbul and AFAIK, stopped posting at the same time as the failed military coup in that city. Rembember those tanks on the streets, the subsequent crackdown and the mass arrests that followed? And not a word out of MissPopTart then or since.

Last online July 22, 2016. Dunno the exact time frame of the coup, but I think that clears her.

One of the things you can check is to Google "Turkey July 23, 2016"
and you'll get the news of the day before in Turkey.
You'll notice that there was quite a crackdown on the 22nd, etc.
Don't know if she was a student or what she did for a living,
but we can hope for the best.
