Like, literally, I'm giving an actual argument and you're just talking **** with no real argument.

"That sounds like magic"

So does existing in general. It's not magic, it's purely biological.

"You just want to believe it to feel self important and flowery and poetic."

I don't, arm chair psychologist. It doesn't sound flowery or poetic to me because I understand it. You can argue that thinking things are predetermined and that you were born to flip burgers sounds magical, poetic and self important too.

But notice how that's not an actual argument for or against free will and is just a deflection?

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Cold doesn't exist, it's actually the transfer of heat making the other object warmer, in turn making you less warm. You're just obsessed with the concept of cold because you want to describe a sensation that you're experiencing in order to communicate an idea relating to it with someone else by way of sounds and/or symbols. If you weren't such a self-obsessed moron, you would just say that your body temperature has exceeded the temperature of the air around you instead of some dumbass poetic **** like "it's cold".

Music doesn't exist. It's just an amalgamation of sounds that tend to activate your endorphins in a way that you like. You just like the idea of "music" because it's flowery and poetic.

Well then what are you describing? You're doing a whole lot of bull**** to justify not believing in predestination while also describing.believing in predestination.

If you.think that what I'm describing is just describing what is likely to occur because my life says I'm most likely to live a life like what I've already lived then you're a moron. You're just describing being a moron.

Choice is the process of an individual determining action and consciousness is awareness of existence on some level. Neither of those contradict the laws of thermodynamics (I prefer that to the religious "predestination").

If those words mean something different to you then clarify how you define them.

How many times are you gonna kick a dead horse Marie? do lesbians have no compassion??

Also lol @ there being a free will debate in the missing posters thread. Debating/caring about free will is so 2005 and the idea of us having any sort of agency is about as absurd as a movie about a boy befriending a whale that somehow escapes from captivity with the very tricks his captives taught him... All while Michael Jackson sings the soundtrack.

People who don't work 70 hours a week have time to contemplate that

People who do also have time to contemplate that. Especially with a warehouse job where you're just doing simple repetitive tasks and all you have is your mind.

Edit: Don't talk to me about work on Shabbos, sinner.

I don't work in a warehouse lol

I work on a machine that demands constant attention.

As for Shabbat, I'm a goy. Some would even call me a shabbos goy.
