norg was great

The Batlord 04-08-2017 04:47 PM

Already knew as much as I desired to know about Korn tho.

djchameleon 04-09-2017 07:48 AM

Is Plankton okay? Do you mods know?

As far as we know, yes. He mentioned wanting to take a break so I assume he is.

No he wasn't.

Plankton's doing some top secret thing for the government. Seriously. I could tell you but, you know, then I'd have told you and you'd know.

What did he ever do to you? Dude was a stand up guy. Had great music taste as well.

He could hardly speak English, wrote everything in caps and text spk and just annoyed the hell out of me. Did you ever see his attempt at a journal?

He was getting good towards the end though. Plus I'm also taking this from experience through plug. His music taste was surprisingly surprising. And yeah his journal sucked. Although I liked the fact that he didn't give a **** regardless. Yeah norg sucked what I am even saying.

Tristan_Geoff 04-09-2017 06:26 PM

He was hilarious and that's why I loved him.

I miss norg. He made me chuckle at times, he was a bit unorthodox in articulation which was evident by his posts. He didn't bother me none.

I miss Unkown Soldier, Plankton, and Roxy too.

I think kinda yes and kinda no. He started the original Trump thread, and I remember it being a joke. He just kinda wanted to stir the pot and get people talking about Trump for the lulz, but while playing devil's advocate I think he tricked himself into actually supporting Trump against his better judgement.

The Batlord 04-15-2017 02:59 PM

Nah, JWB would have trashed you. He wanted too much to be a troll while still having something to say, but he was still one of the top 5 debaters in the forum's history.

The Batlord 04-15-2017 05:17 PM

Nah, they make that **** fun. It's boring to argue with top shelf debaters who take obvious positions. Arguing with/alongside someone like JWB on issues like Trump, genocide, and bestiality was mounds of illuminating fun. I honestly don't know if this site has been as fun since he was banned.

The Batlord 04-15-2017 06:26 PM

Yeah basically the exact same as now, just with goalposts moved back about ten miles.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 04-15-2017 06:27 PM

i miss sidewinder. i didn't really know him but he had great taste and he constantly posts dope ass albums on instagram.

WWWP 04-17-2017 11:50 PM

I miss JWB too, he was a fav of mine

Same here. Probably the most underrated poster. His post punk taste is top choice.

Lucem Ferre 04-17-2017 11:55 PM

JWB once called me an Amish Coolio and I still describe myself that way to this day.

Exo 04-17-2017 11:58 PM

JWB was hilarious and very unique but holy hell was he hard to moderate around. That's not the reason he got banned, as the reason he did was well deserved, but I can't say that I'd want him back around here. Maybe if he guaranteed not to start sh*t but that would basically be like lobotomizing Jack Nicholson at the end of Cuckoo's Nest. Just ain't right.

I think the dude is staying in my sig forever. I could not stop laughing when I first saw that post.

WWWP 04-18-2017 12:11 AM

The first time he posted in the MB cafe thread I actually pissed myself laughing

I once called him out in a roast thread and I regretted it. He hurt my feelings and everybody just laughed at me. Especially Batlord. I think he laughed the hardest. And he was right, our roasting abilities were nothing compared to his. So I never went into that thread again. Because I was ashamed. I was embarrassed by how much I boasted of my roasting abilities and was made to look like a bumptious buffoon. But deep down, I wanted to be him. Every day I get up and I give it my all for the hopes that I could be even a fraction of the man that JWB was. And I think we should all live our lives like that. Always think, "what would JWB do?" and perhaps you could better yourself, or even the world.

You should repost that in the roast thread so everyone can make fun of how good you thought your weak roast skills were.

I remember unleashing this avatar on him. http://www.tsod.tv/forum/images/smil...eepsmiley2.gif
I'm not sure, but I think I annoyed JWB with it.

I still miss MissPopTart. She was a charming, fun poster with one of the cutest user-names ever.

About a year ago she stopped posting without announcing the fact, which always leaves behind "the floating question, Why?" In her case the question is more prickly than usual because she lived in Istanbul and AFAIK, stopped posting at the same time as the failed military coup in that city. Rembember those tanks on the streets, the subsequent crackdown and the mass arrests that followed? And not a word out of MissPopTart then or since. :(

And mass executions .

The Batlord 04-19-2017 09:48 AM

I always assumed she just got bored with the drama. ****.

Lisnaholic 04-19-2017 10:32 AM

^ Yeah, maybe... thinking about it, I might send her a PM later today .... if I get a reply I'll let y'all know.

Last online July 22, 2016. Dunno the exact time frame of the coup, but I think that clears her.

Aux-In 04-19-2017 11:00 PM

We were into some of the same stuff. Hopefully she returns.

One of the things you can check is to Google "Turkey July 23, 2016"
and you'll get the news of the day before in Turkey.
You'll notice that there was quite a crackdown on the 22nd, etc.
Don't know if she was a student or what she did for a living,
but we can hope for the best.
