I'll vouch for bob. frownie and isbjorn any day. I don't much about know Sidewinder, but hey if they (the other mods) picked him he has to be right person for mod. bob. is one of the nicest and coolest people here, has decent taste and knows his music. I can't say enough about him.

Just a question, remembering I do NOT want to or have the time to be a mod, but for information: where/when were the interviews or how was this decided, as I wouldn't like to think there's some shadowy black govt illuminati powerbase behind MB, pulling the strings and making us all dance like --- owww! Who pulled my strings? :D Seriously though: what happens when new mods are sought? Is it PM? Is there a thread hidden away somewhere where one applies, or are prospective members (ooh yeah! Prospects! Let the Sons of Anarchy reign!) approached by the team? I have no problem with any system you use, just wondering how it's done.

Considering how long you've been here, your thoughtful posts about music (imagine that! Someone posting about music!), your refusal to get involved in drama and the fact that you seem to have had the same avatar since I joined, I think you're more than qualified and even if you're not as high profile as some others, that does not make you less worthy to be a mod. It just shows his level of inactivity. Either way, as Freebase said, stuff going on behind the scenes that requires additional mods and Sidewinder has the respect of long time members so whatever. It just seemed unnecessary to me. I wasn't trying to start drama I was just curious about the reasoning. I should have worded it better.

I think it's possible that there are members who don't know each other just from where they post. I think it's more about what circle they move in. I hate to think about it, but yeah the forum is slower than it was.

Sidewinder doesn't often post in the Lounge or the Hip-Hop forums, so it's conceivable that your paths haven't crossed.

^ Sidewinder posts a statement of intent as a mod; to me that in itself indicates that he is concerned about fair and transparent modding. Although he´s been low profile for a while, he is clearly an excellent choice.

I'd vouch for their character too, but bob is the only one of the four that seems like mod material to me. Just seems like there wasn't any real criteria besides picking people that are active. Not that any of it matters to me, I make like two posts a day tops at this point

As for examples, i think the Music discussion forum doesn't have these restrictions as well as other forums ive been to i can't remember right now.

I remember that. I'd need access to the websites' CSS code in order to implement that kind of change, if there even is one (which I'd have to seek out). I do run 2 websites for businesses besides my own simple little POS with my tunes on it, so I was thinking maybe I could do something, but nope.
