The "adult" thread up there is just used for facists to stifle discussion and half of it ends up in the spam thread. No thanks will not post in it.

You kind of have to expect political discussion to delve into childish bickering though. I think some people enjoy it. I do sometimes, I can be very childish.

Why would I go to 4chan when we have that here pretty much? Also, all political discussions end up going nowhere. Each person stands by their side and goes back and forth. It isn't like one side will be enlightened and change their position. I just usually get to a point where I either agree to disagree or just stop because the discussion is out of my reach and then i would have to just google things to further it.

Yes there doesn't need to be insults tossed around but when a mod is joining in the fun and tip toeing that line. There shouldn't be an air of superiority over being able to get away with it. I do like the conversations to be a bit flexible. If it goes slightly off topic then so be it. Organic conversations tend to do that.

Did the thread not get closed because it turned into a personal slanging match between Chula and Ant, or something? I don't think it was anything to do with anyone going off-topic; it was the personal insults that got to a close-to-banning stage that finally broke the dromedary's back with a piece of straw. No?
