Why would I go to 4chan when we have that here pretty much? Also, all political discussions end up going nowhere. Each person stands by their side and goes back and forth. It isn't like one side will be enlightened and change their position. I just usually get to a point where I either agree to disagree or just stop because the discussion is out of my reach and then i would have to just google things to further it.

Yes there doesn't need to be insults tossed around but when a mod is joining in the fun and tip toeing that line. There shouldn't be an air of superiority over being able to get away with it. I do like the conversations to be a bit flexible. If it goes slightly off topic then so be it. Organic conversations tend to do that.

You're riffing on the idiom "it is the last straw that breaks the camel's back" and not to sound harsh but it is very awkward reading the way you said it. I understand you want to get all creative writing and whatnot, but for the love of all that is sacred in the English language stick to the traditional way things are said.
