Because I like dredging up old drama and I haven't kept up with this site for a while, what happened to boo boo? What's the story old-timers?

Boo started a thread that boo could not finish. Boo stepped down as moderator (voluntarily or involuntarily idk). Mainly cause boo didn't hand out bans in "moderation." See boo went on a banning spree and gave the ban hammer to everyone that gave him lip in that thread - all those bans were overturned of course. Oh well so much for intellectual discussions on MB. :rolleyes:

I'm pretty sure he banned everyone that was online at the time lol, not just the people irking him. A day that will live in infamy.

I'd love to read that thread in its entirety to get as much of the story as possible but god damn is it long even by ****storm thread standards.

AFAIK it isn't until much later in the thread that boo boo lost his **** and started banning people. Yeah some late 00's internet wonks agreeing that there are problems with feminism isn't exactly riveting stuff. Probably why I never got through the whole thing.

That's too bad. In all my interactions with boo, things were generally civil, minus boo's general snark. I see that this resulted in boo getting de-modded but I also take it that this fiasco is what resulted in boo getting banned?

Arguing about feminism on MusicBanter and banning people who hurt your feelings, what a way to go. Still, better than the way poor Howard the Duck went. I miss that guy. Got a lot of great recommendations from him.

He was perma'd immediately iirc, but rumor has it he has never stopped posting here and is still among us to this day...
