Best post-rock release of the year?

I'd say Moving Mountains' "Foreword".

This thread is fantastic.

Ive gotten into quite a bit of post-rock and post-metal over the last year or so. I still need to delve into the genre a lot more though. I got a bit sidetracked with my second delve into thrash metal and a little bit of funk and jazz. I got as far as Mono, Explosions, Pelican, Godspeed, Mogwai and I either knew of or was listening to a lot more post-metal orientated bands like Jesu, 3rd and The Mortal, Isis, Cult of Luna etc so basically this thread is particularly useful.

Ive downloaded the .rar from the first post so will give that a shot. Top marks.

I'm not crazy about Isis, but I was never much of a metal fan anyway.

Panopticon is a masterpiece, I haven't really given their other stuff a listen though.
