Why? Certainly a certain deal of pragmatism must be employed and simply upping sticks and going to live in a commune where water comes from a hand pump isn't going to work on a grand scale. But I don't see any problems with encouraging people to go through life with the intentions and outlook of peace and love.

Animal Collective are absolutely incredible. My first ever experience of them was at Glastonbury, slightly not sober. Absolutely spectacular live show.

I was surprised that they played most of Merriweather when I saw them live. I had heard they usually play brand new stuff. Anyway, great band. Sung Tongs is probably my favorite. Amazing to see live.

I just got Tung Songs and I'm listening to it for the first time today. I'm really surprised how much I like this one. It's probably my new favorite of theirs.

Overall they are just OK. Not really for me, but "My Girls" is one fantastic piece of music.

i thought this about them the first like 5 times i heard a song by them. after that i grew to love them.

TBH, after listening to them for a while, I thought I was digging them - but I was just kidding myself. I do that a lot often - you know, try to "expand my musical horizons". There's a time when I have to remember that I really can't like everything. They're still on my iTunes if I ever wanna give 'em another shot though. :]

You just admitted you enjoyed them, but you don't want to? Why would you wanna limit yourself like that if you geniunely liked the music?

I feel the exact same way, I used to like them a lot but now I have no interest in listening to them.

Um, no. I didn't admit anything like that. I would never limit myself musically, that's just ignorant and outright closed-minded.

I genuinely did want to like them. Basically I just kept listening to them even though I couldn't really connect. I guess you can say that I was pretending to like them in hopes that one day I really would. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I do that a lot. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. That's how it was for me with Pink Floyd, and now I LOVE them. Unfortunately it did not work out with AC.
