my friend just referred me to this band. i heard of it before, but finally got around to it. "leaf house" is a wicked video to watch and listen. not sure how to post it on here, but definitely a youtube look up.
just like experimental beats and instruments they use.

Sung Tongs is actually quite exceptional, albeit very juvenile (but that's also its greatest strength). In the right mindset, 'Visiting Friends' is the most hypnotic and oddly beautiful thing ever.

At first animal collective seemed like strange, boring and meaningless noise to me. At face value, I would have to say thats what it is. However, like many great groups, I feel the true appeal is revealed upon closer inspection. Right now I am just relaxing, listening to their latest album, and although trippy, its pretty sick.

Never been able to get into these guys. Too many layers, all a bit too "busy".
I love 'Person Pitch' by Panda Bear though, much warmer sound, immense record. One of those rare examples where I like the side project but not the main act. |
