I've listened to Millions Now Will Never Die and LOVED it. Djed is God. Gonna get some more of their stuff, been meaning to for a while now...

ever since i've heard about Tortoise i've heard about how mind blowingly awesome Djed is supposed to be. i've got 4-5 albums, i've seen them in concert, i'd LOVE to see them again, i even have stuff from some of their side projects. but i've only ever been able to get through Djed once. it's just so boring to my ears. i know it gets critical acclaim and it and its album are normally recommended and name dropped as the group's best offering but i just don't see it. Glass Museum is what makes the album worth it for me.

also, they're not the kind of band to rest on their laurels so expect new directions on every subsequent album but do check them out.

I'd cite Millions Now Living Will Never Die as their most accomplished work.

Standards and TNT are the standout albums for me and my favourite always seems to alternate between the two depending on my mood.
