Default Sigh

A Japanese Black metal band, and well, Black metal?!
Yeah, they're black metal alright, but there's nothing like them! Most of their albums are Symphonic avant-garde black metal, something similar to Arcturus, but the album that really stands out for me is Imaginary Sonicscape.
This album is a sign of a band having fun and doing what they like! It's definitely accessible(upto an extent) and one of the funnest albums I've listened to. Has some crazy keyboards, great guitar work and little bit of everything! Some blues, classical, funk, even a small dub/reggae section and combine those with catchy melodies and harsh vocals and there ya go. Black metal is supposed to be intense, a bit raw and at your face, but this one feels exactly the opposite.

Here are a few tracks from the album-

Scarlet Dream
Slaughtergarden Suite
(just ignore the video...the music is there. And no, it doesn't get cut at around 9:08...that's sigh for you. Always unexpected )
Ecstatic Transformation
Corpsecry Angelfall

For those who don't mind black metal, Hail Horror Hail, Hangman's Hymn & Gallows Gallery might interest you. It's more progressive-black metal and again, the crazy keyboards is what does it for me.
