Default Thurston Moore

I have been wanting to check out his solo stuff, but I don't feel like downloading it unless it is good. Is any of Thurston Moore's solo stuff any good, or is it basically just Sonic Youth stuff?

He collaborated with Glenn Branca a few times. Not sure if anything's good; I don't really like his worth with Sonic Youth tbh.

Well he does a ****load of collaborations, but as for his two main releases... it's fairly different from Sonic Youth. His new one, Trees Outside The Academy, is pretty good. More folky/acoustic than SY, i guess.

Agreed. Trees Outside The Academy is a great album and each listen just gets better Silver Turns To Blue is an excellent track.

I just got Trees Outside of the Academy and I have been running it on repeat. Only tracks I really dislike are Thurston@13 (joke track) and Free Noise Among Friends which I feel completely disrupts the flow of the album.
