I can't believe we don't have a Chrome thread. I don't love everything they've done, but their early material is pretty essential. Strange blend of industrial, psychedelia, noise, and just general weirdness.

Chrome were one of those weird and highly individual bands from the late 70's that managed to merge very diverse styles and influences and make them their own.
I've known about them for years, but only heard a few of their songs, mostly on some specialized radio shows. Just recently I listened to a whole album, Alien Soundtracks (1978), and I must ask myself - what took me so long.(?)

We didnt have a Chrome thread? Could have sworn I've had a good old discussion about this band with someone on here before. Anywho, yes, sweet band, I've got the Anthology 79-83 - really good - Saul Williams samples Zombie Warfare on his track Grippo too, which I found interesting? Helios Creed's solo work is growing on me too.

Chrome was such a great band...Alien Soundtracks is amazingly ahead of it's time....as is Helios Creeds' stuff...Lactating Purple and Kiss The Brain both get continues play time here

Half Machine Lip Moves is great, though I still think I have yet to fully appreciate it.

I completely forgot about this band until I Googled synth punk just now but then it came back to me I used to have them on vinyl. Guess they got purged when I needed money.
