Well, from what I've listened to:

Rat At Rat R - Rock & Roll Is Dead, Long Live Rat At Rat R (1985)
Live Skull: Bringing Home The Bait (1985), Cloud One (1986), Dusted (1987)
Ut - In Gut's House (1988)
Rapeman - Two Nuns And a Pack Mule (1988)
Bastro: Rode Hard And Put Up Wet (1988), Diablo Guapo (1989), Sing The Troubled Beast (1990)
Scratch Acid - The Greatest Gift (compilation 1991)
Jesus Lizard - Head\Pure (1990\89)
U.S. Maple - Long Hair in Three Stages (1995)
Killdozer
Helmet

You're probably familiar with Big Black and Butthole Surfers

Relatively newer groups: Lightning Bolt, Magic Markers

Default Not sure if Deerhoof counts?

I Don't know if deerhoof counts as experimental, but would anyone know some similar bands?

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Dead Can Dance. Although I dunno if they really belong here... but they're great nonetheless.

Tool sucks. Also, I am so sick of hearing about Mike Patton bands on here. None of that is real experimental music.

Your opinion, Tool's godly in my eyes. And if you're sick of it, too bad, It's music I like. Mike Patton deserves the credit he gets, so shove it up your ass. By the way, anyone who says what he does isn't experimental is just jealous of his unique vocal range or what he's accomplished.
