Downloaded two albums by them, they weren't bad, but I prefer Explosions in the Sky for this kinda music.

I find that all of their albums are pretty hit and miss except for their newest, which is really consistent and good.

listened to the songs on their myspace page. pretty groovy, although the canadian is right; explosions in the sky (america) are (is) better.

anyone got any uploads?

OMG how can you guys even like EITS? they are the most boring, generic, "build/climax/build/climax" band ive ever heard...worst "post rock" band ever

ANYWAYS, i saw DMST in april and it was one of the best shows ive ever seen. ohad (the lead guitarist/saxophonist) is one of the best musicians ive seen live. the whole show was mesmerizing, i really suggest you put down your copy of "how strange, innocence"(how post-rocky!) and pick up "winter hymn country hymn secret hymn"

outtie

EITS are pretty good. Just because they have a formula down doesn't mean it's boring in the least.

^Yep. Released a very good album last year: You, You're a History in Rust. An immense live act.

I agree, my friend Rachel really liked this band, and we used to listen to it in the studio; but I too think Explosions in the Sky is one of the most amazing bands at that sort of progressive build up epic-ness
