Default Wolfgang Dauner

Going to get into this guy quite soon. I am aware that he has made a few Jazz albums as well as using synths, but I think he is generally accepted as an Avant-Garde artist.

First album I'm checking out:

Wolfgang Dauner Quintet - The Oimels

I'll get back with some thoughts.

^ That was some good sh*t.

Wolfgang Dauner - Output

Also a very good album. A lot more avant-garde if that's your thang.

I really enjoyed Output as well. Smoked a few joints and sat back to it.

Yes, very interesting psychedelic fusion. He collaborated with two other great german names of jazz-fusion : Volker Kriegel (best known for his work with Dave Pike) and Albert Mangelsdorff (brass band fusion in the late seventies and free-jazz with Elvin Jones).

Some of his best stuff is with the band Et Cetera and their self-titled album as well as the live album are well worth checking out.

This morning, the focus of this game, http://www.musicbanter.com/games-lis...litz-game.html , is Goofle's thread. The music of Wolfgang D sounds pretty interesting to judge from the few comments so far, so I'm off to listen right now, and perhaps Goofle will have more luck with comments today than he did when he opened the thread back in 2012.

EDIT: thanks grindy; I'll explore there too
