Beautiful. I have the greatest respect for Kissin as a person but as an artist it's these early years that I really love.
In Russian the Schubert song "Gretchen am Spinnrade" (Gretchen at the Spinning Wheel) was usually transcribed as Маргарита за прялкой because Гретхен, the diminutive name, sounds really ugly and they didn't want to do the Faust heroine dirty, though now I see they too tend toward Gretchen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnEtn1i6LEQ Really like this version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk1zw--2Gcs

Yeah there is a thoughtful sensitivity to his playing. I like his Scriabin too.
