As a purveyor of this sub genre in my daily programming, I would offer my advice for you to check out Chris Stapleton. He pulls from his early influences of the greats and has been able to avoid the pitfalls of Nashville and the "Bro" country sound. His remake and intrepretation of "Tennessee Whiskey" is all you need to hear to become an instant fan.

  1. Acoustic guitar
  2. Banjo
  3. Fiddle
  4. Mandolin
  5. Stand up bass
