Default Artists like Shakira?

Having collected several Shakira CDs and DVDs, I find myself wondering if there's anyone similar among current artists, Latin or otherwise.
Since she appears to write her own lyrics and at least part of her own music, she's got the smarts and depth of a singer-songwriter, and she also puts on one heck of a stage production, she's got the looks and showmanship of a pop star.
Quite a combo.
I've been looking through the Latin music section of my local media stores, but can't seem to find anyone similar.
Suggestions?

Did you get 'Pies descalsos' and 'Donde estan los ladrones'?

Regarding similar artist try 'Juanes'

Thanks, I'll check Juanes out!
I have Grandes Exitos, the Live & Off the Record Rotterdam concert DVD/CD, the Fijacion Oral 2CD/DVD set, the MTV Unplugged DVD, En Vivo desde Paris DVD and the Oral Fixation Miami concert DVD/CD, which may be the (comparatively) weakest.
Haven't bought Pies, Ladrones and Sale el Sol yet, so I'm missing a handful of songs.
Not sure about her English CDs

Paulino Rubio and Julieta Venegas come to mind, simply for their star power, if nothing else. Not sure if they measure up to the sexiness overload that is Shakira! In the sexiness regard you might like Alexandra Stan from the Romanian House genre...

A little off topic but if it's about sounds, I find some of her music similar to that of Rhianna, Janet Jackson, and Madonna (2000-2005 era).
