Sorry, I only just noticed your kind comment Ayn. I'm sure it's a very old song because the performers, Vox, "specialize in bold reinterpretations of medieval music for contemporary audiences".

The whole From Spain To Spain cd is excellent - the title referring to how medieval Spain was a real mix of cultures, or different Spains, and for the album Vox chose songs from Christian, Jewish and Moorish sources. That suggests there'd be something for the Abbess H von B to be tickled by, but some that she wouldn't approve of on religious grounds.
