Asia is very diverse. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there but it’s still my impression that Japanese and South Korean laborers are better off than their American counterparts. The Chinese obviously have it much worse. India and Bangladesh are so chaotic reform only seems possible locally and probably with bloodshed. I know pretty much nothing about Indonesia and the Philippines.

Honestly, I have no idea what kind of ****storm could be kicked off.

Armed Man Holding 3 Hostages At Yountville Veterans Home « CBS Sacramento

Wtf man. My friend's aunt is one of the hostages. We're all watching this closely, it sounds personal. My bf also works at a state facility and got some info that there was a going away party planned for today, and the suspect kept three hostages while letting the rest go. Swat is on the scene but there's not much else info yet.

Edit: the hostages are the director of the center's PTSD program, a psychologist, and a clinical worker who all treated and released the suspect two weeks ago.
