3 St. Louis cops were charged with beating up a person who was protesting the acquittal of Jason Stockley, a white police officer who killed a 24-year-old black man, Anthony Lamar Smith, after a high-speed chase in 2017. The protester that got assaulted? Well, he turned out to be an undercover cop. They beat up their fellow officer. You can't make this shit up.

You can hover over the hyperlink to get the URL source, and I can word it so that it tells you as much info about the link as possible, while still being short enough to be used as a headline. With the first style, you are forced to read a whole paragraph about the story. What if you read it and get to the end and realize that you wasted your time because the story sucked or was of no interest to you? With the second method, you can read a single sentence and know whether or not you care enough to read about the whole story.
