Deej bro what are you on about 'publicly shamed'? What do you expect teachers to do? You don't expect someone to get a bollocking for cheating in an exam? I sympathise but this is baffling.

“Oh, you are not really sorry,” Malikova allegedly snapped back. “That’s not a sincere apology!”
So she just shouted at her? Wtf

That is why the teacher felt guilty as **** because she kept pressing into her and giving her ****. If you see a kid crying and they say sorry lay off.

Would you still rail into the kid?

Lay off the teacher man, you don't want her to do something drastic.

The teacher is probably feeling guilty because she isn't a bad person.

Come on bro every cunt knows that cheating in an exam is a serious offence and you are likely to get a bollocking for it. That is the risk she took.

Killing yourself because a teacher shouted at you. And she was 17, not really a 'kid'. Old enough to drive a car.

BTW you are talking to someone who got kicked out of school at 13 for something they didn't even do & didn't get a chance to take any exams at all, while it got to me I didn't fucking throw myself into a canal and end it all.

The teacher can't be blamed for shouting at her.

Idk why you are comparing your experience to hers. You werent pressured like she was to excel most likely by tiger parenting.

Come on you act like you don't know those type of students that cry over getting an A- because their parents will chew them out.

Yes but if anything it's the parents fault for pressuring her in the first place. Not the teacher's.

I really don't know what you expect a teacher to do when someone is caught blatantly cheating.

I'll agree that the girl probably had other issues making her susceptible to such an overreaction (low self esteem, the stress that comes with a demanding curriculum etc)

The teacher could have handled the situation better though, there was no need to berate someone so aggressively in front of the class. She could just as easily have taken the phone away and waited until after class to lay into her.

The teacher realized that she didn't handle the situation well that is why she felt guilty and didn't teach for a few days.

No she felt guilty because someone had died, anyone would, whether they're in the wrong or not. If you were a manager at a company and you sacked someone for breaking company policy and they killed themselves, you wouldn't feel guilty?

I agree with you most of the time but you're wrong on this one. She is probably a decent person, she shouted at someone for cheating, so what, God forbid a teacher shout at someone for cheating.

Imagine that pupil didn't get caught, passed, then got a place somewhere at the expense of someone else who hadn't cheated. Piss take.

I feel like this boils down to cultural differences. You are used to teachers acting ****ed up in classrooms.

I am not saying she shouldn't have punished her for cheating but she didn't have to act the way she did. I guess you are used room teachers pulling BS stunts like that in your country.
