Idk what I'd do if I lost my dad. He's taught me everything. Itd be a void I could never fill.

Hey listen man my dad when I was a teenager was a mega shithead and an alcoholic and my parents split and he moved away and I've only seen sporadically since that time. But my pops is a good dude. Troubled past, but a good man and I've forgiven him. I also don't understand kids that end up cutting themselves or going through some huge depression cause their parents split. When I was a kid, I was happy my parents weren't together anymore because they couldn't argue at the top of their lungs their whole lives.

I feel it. My older brother is a **** up but I can't forgive him. He's been a drug addict for almost half my life. But I get it. My parents have split many times. They're as dysfunational as they get. But, they're still cool people if you put the parenting aspect aside. But yeah, my older brother will probably never hear from me again.

Wish I had had a dad like yours, JTF. Mine is finally dead, and not missed. I doubt anyone went to his funeral, the ****. Well, maybe to make sure he was dead but that would be about it. It's really horrible to have to say that about your father, but I had no male role model, other than doing everything the opposite to him. My mother was my role model, and you couldn't get better. Sadly, she died over a quarter of a century before him.

Technically, no. Both tools that can really hurt you if you are not careful. Also, some dude just killed a bunch of young kids at a birthday party with one.

Both are tools that can be used by whackos as weapons to hurt and/or kill a large number of people. Look at all the knife attacks and murders in Japan.

My chef knife is high end German made with an 8" blade and is sharp as a razor.

Guns are built with the express purpose to maim and kill. Kitchen knives are not. No comparison, "technical" or otherwise.
