Actually I just liked the picture. It's got a kraken/poseidon sort of theme that I thought looked cool with the bluish green print color. I've got some art books full of magical realist type paintings and loads of books of erotic photography. That t-shirt touched a bit on both interests, so I liked it. I still wear it even though I don't really like the band anymore.

I try not to fall into thinking in categories like "hot topic" or "emo kid look", etc. I'd rather try and take everything as it is on it's own merits and keep stereotypes out of it. I'm doing exactly nothing to try and seem cool (let's face it - I'm super uncool). Just look at that Indica t-shirt and how I mostly post mellow melodic songwriter music.

I don't want to be cool, I just want to keep things simple and be true to how I see the world.

I'd buy a Judie Tzuke t-shirt the moment I found one! You better believe it!

This is probably the best you've got: Judie Tzuke - Online Shopping

I'm kind of a fashion guru. I don't follow the trends, I start them.

And even there, there's only shirts related to her daughter's music (Bailey Tzuke).

T-shirts are more of a band thing and less of a solo artist thing. And most of all a rock and metal thing, it seems.

Lucem

You’re killing it today.

You can't really expect cool merchandise from a hippie 70's artist cause they cater mostly to sentimental boomers.

MicShazam 01-24-2019 01:58 PM

that "hippie 70's artist" debuted in '79, had slight prog trappings for a few albums, then went 80's pop.

But yeah. I'm just saying that's why I don't buy music shirts anymore. The stuff I'm most into doesn't do shirts.

Cringy Gen Xers, then.

MicShazam 01-24-2019 02:02 PM

How not at all baselessly judgmental of you.

As someone who's sought merchandise from 70's artists in the past I believe I do indeed have a base.
