But your shirt example screams cringey teenager far more than mine. Mine's a more matured edgey of an aged man who knows life doesn't get better while yours is still holding out hope with a cornball hot topic look. Your shirt makes me think you post Joker memes that boast about how different you are.
Actually I just liked the picture. It's got a kraken/poseidon sort of theme that I thought looked cool with the bluish green print color. I've got some art books full of magical realist type paintings and loads of books of erotic photography. That t-shirt touched a bit on both interests, so I liked it. I still wear it even though I don't really like the band anymore.
I try not to fall into thinking in categories like "hot topic" or "emo kid look", etc. I'd rather try and take everything as it is on it's own merits and keep stereotypes out of it. I'm doing exactly nothing to try and seem cool (let's face it - I'm super uncool). Just look at that Indica t-shirt and how I mostly post mellow melodic songwriter music.
I don't want to be cool, I just want to keep things simple and be true to how I see the world.
I'd buy a Judie Tzuke t-shirt the moment I found one! You better believe it!
