I dunno about the US or other countries, but here in Ireland prison is a ****ing joke. Sky TV, computers, regular visits, good meals, the whole bit. Why would you not want to go back when you get out? If they made (and I realise this is a controversial opinion, but **** it) jail a tougher, less bearable experience maybe people would be less eager to risk going back to it? It's hardly a deterrent as it is. Plus you have the gangs running things anyway so it must be hard to try to go straight after you get out.

I'd like to know what goes through these guys heads when they throw acid into someone's face. I can understand wanting to punch someone or hit them with a weapon but acid in the face? Horrendous.
