Yes, it provides the Catholic church with social value in numbers because if I tell someone that I'm a Catholic and they decide to check it out, they're going to find some wing of the rape institution to learn about it.

How is the idea of holding every catholic accountable for what a bunch of priests have done any different than the type of bigotry you scrutinized [merit] for having towards Jews despite [merit] claiming that his disdain was only towards Jewish people he felt were secretly influencing world events? I'd debate that I really don't know enough about Catholic culture to know how true that is.

Could also be argued that being American we should be held responsible for what our country does. Still doesn't make it different that what you've accused [merit] of.

I'm sure there's much, much more evidence than this of Catholic outrage over what goes on in their church. What exactly do you suggest they do differently? Seems to me that plenty of people have tried and failed to have these priests held accountable. Most of them were probably Catholic since it's their children being raped.

Note that it's from the institution and not from the religious. So how are the Catholics responsible for an institution that bullies them or actively prevents them from holding their church accountable?

Also, how are you not jumping to conclusions by assuming that being Catholic automatically means you aren't trying to hold the church accountable?

There's plenty of Catholics, even with in the system, that have tried and are disgusted. Yet you still think it's justifiable to hold them accountable just for having this belief despite the pedophilia having nothing to do with the belief.

Edit: How is this any different from your accusations towards [merit], or how is this any different from OH's bigotry towards Muslims for what happens with in their institutions?
