That sweet sweet vaporwave....mmmn. This one's my fav of 2019 so far, but it's been a good year.

It does feel like it’s the most interesting genre this year.

I’m spread too thin (like you said) but I like it like that these days. Really focusing deep on far less music is also a great way to go.

not sure if they listen to 12 hours a day or something, but I've got to spend a lot of time with a release to feel like I've got what I want from it

Working at a record store helps but my last job required me to sit in a car six hours a day so I got a lot of listening done. The problem I usually have is keeping track of newer releases when I go on a kick of a certain genre. Right now it's going back and listening to essential jazz albums I missed while also going through some RYM lists that highlight avant-garde obscurities that strike my fancy. It's a full time job and I don't really get to many current year albums but I try to reserve commute time to newer stuff on Spotify that I've come across.

Another city may get a ‘straight pride’ parade. This time it’s pro-‘Western Civilization.’

Okay I don't really care about this story at all but that pic at the top omg!!! Alex Jones literally sent a fake marcher as an ad for his ****ty app. That's literally the most shameless thing I have ever seen including anything by Trump. I'm ****in' ded.

Looks like the recession is probably coming, if Neither Trump nor China back down from the escalating trade war. Both economies will suffer. China seems entirely willing to take the hit in order to stand up to Trump. Our best hope at this point is that eventually Trump caves due to domestic political pressure, similar to how he did with the whole govt shut down fiasco.
