Also hard to believe: It's official -the USA is more corrupt than the Ukraine.
On the record as finding that extremely easy to believe.

That America still hangs on to the threads of the myth of moral superiority is hard to believe.

No offense intended.

Venezuela is enduring both economic meltdown and political crisis. A year ago, opposition head Juan Guaido said President Nicolas Maduro was illegitimate and that he himself was the country’s rightful leader. But although Guaido won support from nearly 60 countries around the world, including the U.S., Maduro remains in power. Special correspondent Marcia Biggs sits down with Guaido in Caracas.

The US needs to stop interfering with other countries’ elections.

The ****ing arrogance of America, especially since it’s nothing but a steaming pile of ****, is really something.

Yep, that's a good rec for any country. Foreign policy decisions are among the most consequential that any admin can take, and what's alarming is that a decision taken by a bunch of guys in a comfortable boardroom can lead to years of hell for others.

I've been watching an excellent documentary series about the Vietnam War on Netflix (highly recommended) and learnt how that quagmire of misery got started because the US decided to back the colonial ambitions of former-ally, France, and refused to entertain the idea of self-determination for the Vietnamese people. In hindsight, the US put themselves on the wrong side at the outset - but nobody could imagine just how much sh*t their position would unleash.

Deaf man sues Pornhub over lack of closed captions

Frownland 01-18-2020 12:21 PM

More surprised that they weren't hip to that yet than that they're being sued. After more or less running out of brick and mortar shops to target, ADA lawyers started going after websites that have low text contrast, don't tag their images with alt text, don't have closed captions, don't have responsive websites, and other really fickle things. If you have a big site or if you're in a heavily regulated field like finance or healthcare, then you're more than likely going to be a target for those lawyers.

I wonder if it’s related to drug use.
