Plus, we have more than enough food. We over produce food. We waste tons of it. We over work people to overproduce food that gets wasted while people starve because they can't afford it.

This overpopulation nonsense is still just nonsense at this point. The Earth is more than capable in providing for humans it's just that humans refuse to find salubrious methods because this meaningless thing we made up called money and the power it has over us.

I lost so many junkie friends in my twenties I finally decided it at this point you’re not taking up the habit because you want to live. And it’s gotten many time worse. I begged people not to do it. I don’t think any of them lived. After a certain point I gave up.

I realize that people here have relationships with junkies, are recovered, or love people fighting it... I definitely don’t want to personalize it. Call 911. Carry narcon. Fight the good fight.

In Florida they’ll just put you in jail after they treat you. I have know idea if they’d rather die or not. Is it my business?

96% of mammalian bio-matter is human or human domestication.

4% for every other mammal on earth.

Nah, I watched a youtube video that says you're full of **** and overpopulation isn't even remotely an immediate threat to anything. Technological advancement is inevitable and the only real shot we have at improving anything. Most of what would solve the problems I see already exists, but it's early. Lab grown steaks for example. The issue is no different than what Big3 brought up before about energy: it's a matter of bringing down the cost and time to create a new steak so that we no longer need to butcher millions of cows and deal with all of that needless complexity, butchery and waste.
