YouTube doesn't have moral scruples. They demonetize and wipe out whole channels and make all kinds of decisions for completely arbitrary reasons. The vast majority of the clips in that 20 minute segment of the documentary could be found elsewhere on YT without any censorship.

People share articles all of the time here that showcase all kinds of harmful bull****. That doesn't mean everyone transforms into Florida Man.

If there's no validity to anything she has to say, the mainstream media can easily debunk it. And on the points where there's wiggle room (like her claims that the police planted evidence or that the legal system ****ed her), that opens up inquiries about our powerful institutions that might be worth asking.

YouTube's censorship is based on algorithms like most platforms and of course the algorithms are flawed.

But they do ban things for being harmful if it gains massive popularity.

Being banned by YouTube shouldn't grant anything some kind of magical ethos or pathos that leads you to ignore the logos.

I can agree with that.

As I mentioned early on, there were only a few points in the whole video I found interesting to talk about, like the thing about influenza and the possibility of virus interference. I didn't go into it agreeing with her positions. If she thinks she was treated unjustly in some way by the scientific community, her peers, whatever, I thought it was worth looking at the story.
