Seeing a lot of news reports saying Trump called dead soldiers "losers" and how only "suckers" join the military, stuff like that. Huge outrage about it.

Do you believe it? I think there's outrage because a lot of people do.

Personally, I don't think I buy it. It's a little too on the nose for me and a little too perfectly timed.

But, the only reason it's an issue at all is because of what Trump said about John McCain in the past. Despite what he claims, he DID call John McCain a "loser" (though he called him that for losing the election, not for serving or getting captured) - but it really doesn't matter optically.

This story and the outrage about it is Trump's bad behavior and reckless and offensive comments coming back to haunt him.

I saw some statements and documents that seem to contradict the narrative that he actually said those things, but it is hard to know for sure.

That being said, John McCain was a loser...but it is a little funny that those comments are coming back home to roost today.
