I had an uncle who pretty much said the same thing. Except he said they should be grateful they don't have to live in mud huts and get AIDS.

Not that our treatment of the Native Americans wasn't absolutely repugnant, but in absolute fairness, most of them died due to unintentional exposure to our diseases.
