I don't know, it just seems a bit hyperbolic to me. But then again, the excerpt was written by a homeschooled fourteen year old girl, so it's probably serious.

Most of the home schooled kids I know aren't nearly, nearly this stupid. Though, many are mentally/learning challenged.

I was homeschooled and contrary to popular belief, we're mostly of average intelligence.

I guess you're the exception? ;)
