lol we had a news quiz the other day and all of the questions were basically what you would expect to be on a news quiz, until the final question "Which celebrity couple has recently announced their divorce after years of speculation?" #journalism

The test was written by one of the female assistant profs. I'm like 99% sure she's a TMZ fan because she was also playing Beyonce the other day when I walked into class.

It was by far the easiest question on the quiz. I wish all we had to do was answer pop culture trivia.

Look at diverse publications from every which bias (because there really is no unbiased news source) and try to decipher it for yourself by fact checking things that they talk about. NPR's liberally biased but it has good reporting and Wall Street Journal is in depth but leans in the other direction. I would recommend looking at what drives the news as well, regardless of bias, by looking at the New York Times, Breitbart, CNN and the like.
